@FeingoldDaniel I would like to know if the secretariat (LCAG) confessed to the APPG & Ray McCann that LCAG & CIOT firm WTT had promoted, encouraged & sold for profit, non-disclosure of loans on the 2019 Tax Return. Did Ray McCann know this when deciding to reward that behaviour with discounts?

So you are saying the CIOT ex-President knew that LCAG & WTT had encouraged members not to disclose their loans on their 2019 Tax Return (for which profits were being made) then he recommended better settlement for those people alone? This is newsworthy. There goes McCann’s gong.

Neither part of Steve Packham’s statement is true (as usual). Steve could not point to any evidence of abuse of the APPG because there has been none. It’s a dishonest abuse of position by LCAG so that the MPs do not hear the truth.

Does Steve Packham just deliberately try to be a pillock? He is the spokesperson for LCAG. To write to the APPG you have to go through LCAG as they act as secretariat. LCAG & APPG (LCAG as secretariat) have blocked Armadillo. But, knowing this, Steve writes this 👇

LCAG have blocked those who have been trying to help since the #loancharge was first announced & instead followed & promoted only to those who have no prior experience in the contracting filed and no litigation experience!

@nagrohoj It’s astonishing that HMRC/HMT argue this is “fair to all taxpayers”. Some pay IHT on their income. What other taxpayers pay IHT on their income? But LCAG block access to the APPG & write 18 page rambling letters & fail to mention these things.

@wealthagent I was told that, even though I still have about 16 payments to make, that I don’t fall within the review. It’s all barmy

#loancharge HMRC have written to my client to say he may benefit from the McCann Review but if he has already paid more than proves to be due then HMRC will keep the cash! But the 'Review' started in January 2025. How can HMRC/HMT not see that position is completely unreasonable?

@Dan4Barnet It wouldn't take much (not a rambling 18 page letter), just to say to @Dan4Barnet how can it be "fair to all taxpayers" for some people to be asked to pay both income tax & inheritance tax on their deemed earnings? What other taxpayers are asked to pay both IT & IHT on earnings?
