Today is World Down Syndrome Day, March 21, 2023. The date 3-21 represents three copies of the 21st chromosome! It is a global awareness initiative that advocates for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people with Down syndrome and their vital role in our communities.

LOSD CARES team is hosting a virtual workshop Wednesday, March 15, 2023, about substance use and prevention: A Talk to Have With Your Child at All Ages. The workshop is intended for adults and is relevant to parents/guardians of children in all grade levels.

Now that the ice has cleared, LOSD facilities may reopen and planned activities may happen on a case-by-case basis this afternoon/evening. Activity supervisors will notify participants directly if your events are happening tonight.

LOSD schools remain closed today, Wednesday, Mar. 1. Icy roads, walkways, and parking lots throughout Lake Oswego are not expected to clear until much later this morning. All LOSD facilities are closed, and school-day services, programs, and activities are canceled.

LOSD schools will be on a two-hour delay this morning, Wednesday, March 1. We will continue to monitor road conditions. If we have to close schools or use bus snow routes, we will make an announcement by 8:30 a.m. @wearelo @wearelakeridge

All LOSD school buses will run their regular routes this afternoon (Monday).

LOSD schools will start on time today. However, due to ice on several roads throughout town, buses will be on school routes. Schools with snow routes are listed on the transportation page. All other school bus routes remain unchanged. Please exercise caution this morning.

LO High hosting the varsity basketball games tonight, Saturday, Feb. 25. Varsity girls 5:30 p.m., varsity boys 7 p.m. Sun and snow plow helping clear school parking lot. However, please exercise extreme caution while driving and walking tonight.

Parking lots still covered in snow, ice. We will provide an update at 2 p.m. re: status of tonight's LO vs. LHS games. See email for details.

Due to icy road conditions, LOSD school facilities will remain closed, and all activities will remain canceled today, Friday, Feb. 24. We are attempting to reschedule planned activities and will make an announcement by tomorrow (Saturday) at 12 noon.
