Last night we had a visit from Sami aka Bishwaya and Cam from Evoke Creative Wellness for a spoken word and poetry workshop. We had an inspiring and thoughtful evening sharing words of gratitude, pride and hope for the future 🎤

Today's measures will put survivors of modern slavery and trafficking at further risk while terrorising minoritised communities. We urgently call the govt to reverse this disastrous policy & focus instead on providing safe routes to those fleeing conflicts and disaster. 3/3

Our statement in response to the the current and increasing violence towards refugee and migrant communities

For too long, we've seen our political and media discourse poisoned by malign forces whose words have actively sown the seeds of division. We urge the government to call out the racist and Islamophobic violence, change the record and turn the tide against this deluge of hate. 2/2

Our heart breaks at the scenes of naked fascism and thuggery openly on display across the UK right now. But these scenes we saw today in Rotherham - particularly terrifying for refugees who have fled conflict - don't exist in a vacuum. 1/2
