A mainly cloudy Good Friday ahead for many. Drizzly bits around, especially over western and southern coasts and hills, but a few bright spells developing to the lee of high ground. More persistent rain central & western Scotland with snow on hills here. Milder south.

Plenty of cloud for Tuesday. Early drizzle as a war, front clears east, but then some bright spells developing to the east of higher ground. Cloud is generally low and will be drifting onto weather and southern coats and hills, increasing winds in NW Scotland later. mild for all.

Cold and windy for Wednesday. Frequent showers, wintry at times. A risk of hail and thunder. Snow on northern hills, the wind making it feel like winter has returned.

A generally fair Saturday. Some mist and fog patches at first in England and Wales and fairly hazy this afternoon. Low cloud tending to break and lift and then fine for most. Some thicker cloud in parts of the east and in central and northern Scotland. Mild in the sunshine.

Wednesday brings plenty of warm sunshine for much of England and Wales. More cloud in Scotland and Ireland thanks to the weakening front, but prob lay only western Ireland and western Scotland sees any measurable rain. The breeze increasing the the southwest.

After the warmth of the next couple of days, the 15 day temperature forecast suggests a fall away early next week as cooler conditions set in. A couple of wetter days next week too, but still the emphasis is on drier weather than recently.

Nice to see a week with not so much rain as high pressure builds. Most of what is shown on this forecast total rain to Friday chart has fallen today. Warmer days ahead then turning chillier by the weekend, but still little rain.

Broken cloud and some sunshine for Wednesday. It’s a windy one though, gust of 30 to 30mph but higher in the northwest. Rain far northwest of Scotland too, a few showers northern and west England and Wales.

Sunday morning rain in the far south of England, slowly clearing, although a few mm for some. Rain in central Scotland and Northern Ireland at first too, again this clearing, although always a shower risk in the west. Dry for most away from western coasts and hills. Sunshine

A cold one last night, minimum temperatures coldest in Scotland. Then a sunny and dry Saturday ahead for most of us, ahead of a front bringing rain, preceded by snow tonight. Despite more rain there are some tentative signs of a slow improvement ahead.

Pouring down across Wales, northern England and parts of the Midlands right now. Some sleet and snow hills. Colder air arriving from the north with a few wintry shows, plenty of sunshine in Scotland too. Icy tonight and then a better day for Saturday.
