Website Toolkit is being created to be a key part of a site build / launch workflow, and one vital part of that is getting feedback. Check out this 5min look to see how it's coming together, and what to expect in the near future.

This website will be the first of many over the coming weeks. I added a GitHub style board to schedule in monitoring jobs so I can spread the crawler load - estimate based on its 1st crawl duration. It's now going into code freeze till 31st July (I'm off on holiday).

It's documentation day. First off is a page on the new feedback / review widget. If you've ever launched a client website and missed half a dozen pages then this is for you!

@BlakeWhittle7 The screen shot is taken using a browsers native method (only supported on desktop) as I avoided any 3rd party libraries. It should capture exactly what you can see at that time.

@website_toolkit Make sure the screenshot tool is extremely accurate, and works with animations, page builders, etc. There's nothing worse than getting feedback & the comment & screenshot don't line up.

The feedback widget can now be used to help you mark pages as reviewed. Enable it on the Feedback screen and pick the Launch / Migration project. The "Mark as reviewed" button will be added to the widget. This'll detect the mode and will set the relevant page for approval.

The Launch checklist includes a list of all discovered pages on a staging / live site so nothing gets missed out. The Feedback widget will have an optional extra "Review" button which will help you keep track so you can review as you go without manually clicking each box.

Feedback doesn't sit in isolation. The Site Content tab on Launch / Migration projects will show how many open / pending items match that URL so you can easily hop over and take a look.

Currently in development is a new feedback widget. Add it to your client's site during development and let them provide simple feedback. This is logged in a new Feedback screen for you to action.

The residential proxy service is now in place. Paying customers can use it to improve their audit results.

It's Website Wednesday (yes I did just make that up)! Share your latest website win, big or small! My latest win is checking an early bird customer's site and finding 8 broken links on their home page. It's a 5 min fix - but they need to know about the issues first.

Finding it hard to make your WordPress care plan stand out from everyone else's? With Website Toolkit's content monitoring you can keep a casual eye on your client sites for accidental content changes. Did a key section go AWOL? Let them know you've got their back.

The problem with broken images is.... you can't always see them. Website Toolkit's Advanced crawl will check all srcset images, plus your meta og:images "It works on my computer" might be fine when on desktop, but responsive images going awol, that's harder to check.

It'll now check outbound links first, followed by images, etc. This does make me wonder how to price the service as a directory site with thousands of outbound links is different from an image heavy site, but both need a lot of resources checked.

Thank you to everyone submitting their sites during the beta period, you are helping to iron out quirks not found on smaller sites. Last night 1 site had 17k+ images, which means the 20k resource cap (images, CSS, scripts, links) was reached and no external links were checked.

Over the last week 15 people have opted in for newsletter / product updates when submitting their sites. There will be a lot of changes to write about in the July round up.
