A reminder that even after the Runestone snapshot for $DOG in 18 blocks that Runestone holders will still be receiving two more Runes memecoin airdrops.
One later this year and one when $DOG becomes the #1 memecoin in the world.
Rumor has it that several other projects will be airdropping to Runestone holders in the future as well including two <10 Runes. Many Ordinals mints have also chosen to WL Runestone holders in the past. There are no promises about what other projects choose to do though and Runestone does not "collab" with any projects. It is an open, permissionless movement like Bitcoin.
Lastly, Runestones will always be collectible pieces of art by the artist @leocaillard that I hope many of you will cherish forever as a memento of what the Ordinals community has accomplished together over the past year.
Inevitably some low IQ folks will complain that the floor of Runestone drops after this snapshot. This is obviously an irrational take. You should think of the value of a Runestone as the total value you received from it after the moment you were airdropped it or bought it. So far the value of a Runestone is actually far greater than what the floor shows on ME, because everyone who just held their Runestone also received free airdrops and WLs from other projects. One should look back at the total value of $DOG and all other airdrops to Runestone holders when calculating the total value of the original Runestone airdrop.
Runestone, DOG•GO•TO•THE•MOON, and the two future Runes are all non-utility tokens and nothing will be built around them officially. Just like BTC if the community chooses to embrace the movement and build around these CC0 permissionless assets it may do so. But the assets themselves are just collectible on-chain art and memecoins that the Ordinals community can take and run with if it wants to. The future is in your hands not mine.
