I want to clarify that this isn't sour grapes about @weeb3foundation using weeb3. It's a bit more of a frustration with the confusion it's causing - lots of artists are messaging confused about our part in it, and the dismissal of the amount of work we've done as distributed contributors that are cross-product/community in order to try and build a sustainable space for the artists that took the risk to jump into the space - speculative assets and tokens aside.
There is a promise here in the space that isn't fulfilled through simple hype cycles. Artists are frequently used tools to generative profit to investors but without them and without the tools and support to create something meaningful for them, it'll leave us with nothing if they are forced to leave.
We encourage showing support through actions - not just words. I am hopeful Weeb3Foundation will do what they say they will and that it will persist into growing a more welcoming and sustainable place for artists here. But Things have always been cyclical - so let's see where action happens outside of just an incentive to line pockets of pfp investors.
Finally I want to clarify for anyone just seeing this who have been following our products and communities that @weeb3foundation is not associated with @weeb3dao or @weeb3nft or Weeb3 World.
