@Gibboanxious Both are amazing but The Deer Hunter edges it for me due to the real life issues surrounding John Cazale. I love his work so watching the film and knowing it was his last performance made everything seem that much compelling. FMJ was more of a spectacle. youtu.be/6Sjs4V_C370

@ATRightMovies It’s too hard to nail it down to one movie. There’s been too many great films over the years. Personally I think 1971’s Get Carter has to be one of them. Michael Caine was brilliant. youtu.be/l-vVmVsTkmc

@nobby_saitama It’s a shame he’s looking so rough these days. He is a talented actor but his personal demons seem to have hindered not just his career but his entire life. One of my favourite performances of his was in The Pope Of Greenwich Village. youtu.be/YLAnwS6bDBI

@WWENostalgia_ One of the last real WCW moments. A few weeks later they rebranded and made the show looked cheap.

Tim Roth on how he based his character in "The Hit" (1984): "The character was based on bullies that I'd known at school, bullies that I'd known outside school, and polish commandos who my dad had told me about from the second world war - which was where all the razor blades and the colour came from and little steel Blakeys, which we used to have when we were kids which they'd put all around their shoes and sharpened them so they'd take your skin off. It's all about street fighting and about football hooligans. So that with some really bad fashion thrown in and a very bad dye job. That was the character" ("Tim Roth Breaks Down His Most Iconic Characters", GQ, 2019) P.S: On this day, 42 years ago, "The Hit" (1984) premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, France.

@TheCinesthetic On paper, getting the actor who played Ghandi and casting him as a ruthless south London gangster didn’t seem like the smartest choice. But Ben Kingsley absolutely nailed his performance and deserved the award nominations he received for Sexy Beast. youtu.be/GMmKpgGoIkM

@ATRightMovies You could try Dead Boyz Can’t Fly, an obscure movie that featured some pretty traumatising moments. It’s a real hidden gem filmed in the 80s but released years later in the 90s. youtu.be/n12xyAKflQ0

@IterIntellectus I agree but it’s because of a brain drain thats been going on in Hollywood for some time now. Very few actual creators get somewhere. But there are tons of people working in all different sectors of the industry that have no clue or creative bone in their bodies.

@MovieEndorser Monster’s Ball from 2001. It’s one of those movies where it got a lot of recognition at the time and it totally deserved it. One of Heath Ledger’s most underrated performances. youtu.be/ONGcS2EDK9U

@TheCinesthetic The ending to The Crying Game I thought was a major let down and certainly hindered my overall enjoyment. It was a dark and compelling drama but the ending was something you’d see out of a romantic comedy. The tone was completely off. youtu.be/TuLHyGjbuLs

@ATRightMovies Paul Kersey from the Death Wish franchise. Yes this guy killed which is wrong but Kersey stood up for himself and was no pushover. He had strong family values and when they were abused, he decided to do something about it youtu.be/RURV4PVopP4
