Well done to Gavin Sheehan, Jon Pullin, Ollie Murphy and Ben Pauling for making the correct decision to run the last race yesterday. Jon Pullin did everything right. He sought the opinions of the right people - the experts. Gavin Sheehan who rode in the race said to race and they did. They sectioned off the area where the hole was. The race was ran and all came back safe and sound. The experts are not us punters, people on Twitter, journalists or presenters. The experts were the jockey’s representative, the trainers and the clerk of the course. I felt sorry for Jon Pullin in the interview afterwards on TV. The tone seemed aggressive and almost looking for blame when there was no need to look for blame. There is a risk in running every race. Everything worked out just fine so well done to all involved.
