@SausageArmyHQ We hoped - with everything - that Harris had beaten this cancer in June. Its return was horrifying. It was aggressive. Our boy fought, but this wasn’t a disease he could beat. He was his own loving, sensitive, sassy self until the end. And he was loved completely. 🤍🤎 (2/2)

Awfully sad news troops😔 We’ve lost Harris @weewiryone His health deteriorated rapidly a few weeks ago and he died with his family by his side last Friday. RIP Harris, you will be greatly missed. Thinking of Uncle Bracken and Mum & Dad at this very difficult time 🫡🌈🫡

@SausageArmyHQ Friends, it’s Mum/Fiona here. Thank you, and apologies for not being here. It’s four weeks on Friday since Harris left us, and it’s been terrible. His loss has been devastating. I miss him all the time. These weeks have been a mix of disbelief, pain and incredible sadness. (1/2)

Good news, my friends! The vet called with the test results following my surgery...there's no sign of anything nasty having spread 🙌 So long as my wound heals nicely, I hope I'll be back to my sassy self soon. My hoomans are so happy! 🎉

3/ I’m back at the Dick Vet in the middle of July, to the oncology department, for a CT scan, to see how my chest is looking once I’ve healed from the surgery, and to establish a ‘baseline’ for all future CT scans. I’ll be getting scans every three months from July on.

Some good news friends. My lymph nodes test shows that the mass has not spread to create a secondary cancer elsewhere. Massive relief there. Had more blood tests on Monday and my liver enzymes are waaaay down - they had been very elevated post surgery. 1/

@TheSquirmyWorms Bracken takes this as he had ongoing elevated liver enzymes following his haemorrhagic gastroenteritis last year. It’s helped stabilise him so that’s good to hear that you’re on this too.

@weewiryone Oh that's excellent! Mine (ALT enzyme) was 750+ last Tuesday and 325 this Monday. Vet gave me Denamarin...not sure if that's helped or if it's healing by itself but will keep taking it for now whilst I get myself well enough for surgery ❤️

The surgery planned for today has been postponed to give me more time to recover. I spent the morning at the vets where they did some tests. My liver shows signs that it's recovering and my x-rays and other bloods are all good. So for today, we'll take that 💛

@Lells37 Thank you - and so sorry that you and your brave boy went through trauma too. There’s still healing to do here - my lungs still have healing to do, but we’re taking it day by day. 🫶🏻💛
