@StevenACohen2 I was optimistic with Stearns he fucked us no other way to put it head honcho.

To say Pete is a no brainer to sign is false Nick. He doesn't hit that homer against Williams the fans turn on him and he is gone.. he dropped a pop up an inning earlier. One at-bat is why you guys are all gaga here

Pete Alonso would be on the field. Jorge Polanco is not and it’s not even May. Are we trying to win every year or no? Isn’t it “too early” to judge per your standards? I already proved you wrong yesterday using your own logic. It’s pretty early, not sure you wanna do this again.

@DanBartels2 I’d move him back to A ball until he can figure out how to command his fastball consistently

@samwilbur I agree with this to an extent. I really am becoming concerned with Stearns besides Soto. He has done nothing otherwise. I mean having no first baseman show exactly this. When you could have just kept Pete for less defense and upside offense.

Can blame Stearns and Cohen all you want (and there's clearly plenty of issues) but the general baseball community + fangraphs, metrics, etc all predicted the #Mets to be one of the best teams in baseball.
At some point, the players have to perform.

Everyone wants to blame the manager for this #Mets mess.
I don’t think he decided not to get a first baseman to replace their departed first baseman.
Among other things.

@searlebaseball Bro he is awful. He throws that stupid ass cutter that doesn’t move it’s always a homer

He also had really good swings against Ohtani but no one wanted to talk about that
