Quick thoughts on tomorrow before I go to sleep: Adaay Of Scarlett (1.50 Newmarket) apparently very good according to the whispers. Having a go myself at 2/1 Talk Of New York (2.25 Newmarket) is third favourite for the 2000G and surely has to win this very well to live up to that. Buick choosing him over Maximised speaks wonders and I think it’ll be a Godolphin 1-2 as Richie’s Rocket doesn’t look on their level to me. Won’t be playing the forecast but TONY at 4/7 seems worth putting in a double with the opener Stellar Vision (3.00 Newmarket) at 13/2 looks a big price to me. Was learning on the job on debut and loved the step up in trip NTO when I was on board. Got smashed in that day and won nicely. Back to Newmarket fine and at this 7f trip should be going close. I’ll be having in a small each way multi. Most likely in an each way trixie but wouldn’t be against playing these 3 in a small each way treble (have already played a muggy double on the first two but no harm in riding the Newmarket wave with all 3 combined too) I’m sure a lot will be playing a muggy double with the favourite in the opener but pure guessing game if you want to go off pedigree etc as no one surely hearing whispers from Godolphin and I’m not sure 8/13 is worth the same as TONY is who we already know about and has a Guineas to progress for None really jumping out to me at Market Rasen bar maybe SouthOfTheBorder (4.30 at 9/4) who seems to be improving and form of his win franked. May play in a small win trixie with another two over evens Likewise with Newton Abbott bar maybe Clotilda (4.52 at 11/2). A shame on two places on offer but this one, bar falling, always goes pretty close and she’s only young and should be improving. May want softer ground but I wouldn’t be against having in a very small each way multi with Stellar Vision and another Lingfield has a fair few that are curating an interest. Helm Rock (6.30 at 9/2 with 4 places) really does intrigue me though. I had him and Farasi Lane both in my tracker last month and they came 1st and 2nd. Can’t remember if I played the forecast or not then, but Helm Rock won last Monday and can come on from that. Hasn’t won off this mark for quite a while but is hitting form and wouldn’t mind him finalising a small each way trixie No interest at Clonmel really Let me know if you are liking any of these too lads Likewise if you have a NAP you’re eyeing up then I’d love to hear it. Especially if it’s one that could go in a win trixie for me I’ll have a proper look through the stats and trends tomorrow morning, but it does look like a really good day of racing for a Tuesday and I’m looking forward to having a few small stakes multis going for sure Sleep well lads 🫡

Not here to argue as I respect everyone’s opinion on this and like you said, it’s a touchy subject- just want to give a little insight. I train both jumpers and flat horses and the side that often gets missed is what jumping does for a horse’s mindset. I get a lot of sour, sore, and downright depressed horses from different flat operations who come to me to jump and get a whole new lease on life when they are introduced to jumping. Thoroughbreds are athletes and they are meant to be putting their athleticism to use. Jump racing as a whole is way more forgiving to horses injury wise on a day to day basis. The racing is not focused around speed and it’s amazing when you’re not asking horses to go as fast as they can how many injuries are avoided. Yes they jump and because they jump falls are not always avoidable and I’m not here to defend that. But the racing and training is slower, it’s way easier on their bodies, and it can really help their minds as well. You’re not going to make a 1200 lbs animal jump if they don’t want to…and if you watch a replay of my horse Swore, for example, when he runs his ears are pricked looking for the next hurdle, there is no doubt he loves it. There are certain things I would fix with the sport no doubt, but not all falls lead to deaths and you can’t really argue jump racing should be banned over flat racing as horses break legs on the flat more than we’d like to talk about. I would also tell you jump connections aren’t sending horses to Puerto Rico, aren’t dropping horses into 5k claimers after making them hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the horses aren’t sore because sore horses can’t physically run and jump. You may not like it, and I respect that. But there’s far worse happening in racing than jump racing. 🙂

Quite often I generally (and hypocritically) struggle with the ethics of jump racing but this is a great bit of insights from a great trainer stateside.

A.I.Ello Vs The Bookies
Day 47 - Cry me a river. Coinciding with a slump in the form of the AI, one of our devs, ClarkAI, has been having a good cry that the time zones in the US are limiting the selections we can publish. Send him to the naughty corner, @AnnouncerPete, we don't do excuses. However, in a bid to appease him somewhat, we will go up a day early with the AI selections on this occasion (nothing starting pre noon EDT is the general rule). We can make an exception for the greatest horse race on earth, surely... #GrandNational
