@Coach_Ocie Love this take. I don't like hero bans, it would make getting accurate practice much harder. Unlike League we have more than one map but lack the gigantic hero gallery that gives you heroes that can fill similar roles. (1/2)

OWCS isn't better with hero bans, it's just a lower level of play. OWCS is better when Mauga isn't slowly buffed until he ends up meta in both majors. OWCS is better when you hotfix Juno instead of allowing Juno to dominate for several months. Don't punish teams that have specializations and don't lower the skill ceiling of professional play. It's already difficult to prepare/scrim for the massive map pool we have, and it's even less practical to prepare for hero bans on top of the that. A team has a cool Reinhardt strat they want to use on Circuit? Teams will just ban Reinhardt against them, and it'll never see the light of day. In many cases you won't really know what you are missing out on as a viewer. Another example: Teams would ban Ball on maps such as Lijiang and Illios against CR. You would see less Junbin Ball overall since it will be banned often on Ball maps (esp Control). If you enjoy watching Junbin Ball on those maps, you are mostly out of luck in a world with hero bans. I want to see Overwatch played at the highest level, and OWCS is just fine when balancing decisions are made faster and hotfixes are applied. (LoL often applies hotfix balance patches within days while OW might take 1-3 weeks) Lowering the level of play for the sake of diversity isn't the best move for professional OW.
