Confederate states are rushing through rigged maps to erase Black districts off the map. If this doesn’t make you angry, it should.

@RepKeithSelf Representative, how do you reconcile federal taxing and spending for SNAP with the Tenth Amendment?

👀 SNAP fraud ends with @POTUS. Accepting these benefits is a privilege, NOT a right. No more bare-minimum stocking or loopholes that let junk snacks count as “staple foods.” Retailers will now have to carry 7 varieties across 4 real categories: proteins, grains, dairy, and fruits & vegetables — more than doubling the old requirements with far more whole foods and perishables. These stores take in over $90 billion of your taxpayer dollars every year (that is $236 million a day!). Too many have abused that trust with the absolute minimum while racking up the worst records of benefit trafficking, fraud, and program violations. That ends NOW. We’re turning the tide on the nutrition crisis, giving families better access to real food, and demanding real accountability from retailers who want to keep cashing those SNAP checks.🇺🇸 @WhiteHouse usda.gov/about-usda/new…

1950s - Shoe salesman could support of a family of 5, own a 2,500sqft house, two cars, put the three kids through college, buy his wife nice gifts, eat steak a few days a week. 1980s - Both parents working decent jobs, can support a family of 4, own a 2,500sqft house, two cars, pay half the college for two kids, eat steak a couple times a month. 2020s - Both parents working two jobs. Can barely support a family of 3. Own a 2,000sqft hours, one car. Kid takes on $150,000 in college loans. Are vegetarian.

A guy drives through a brand new housing development and is shocked when he learns these homes are going for around $100,000 each. He keeps repeating his disbelief as row after row of nearly identical houses pass by. Would you actually pay $100,000 for one of these?

@SecRollins ALL social welfare is a State issue, and all the recent fraud shows us one of the main reasons why.

New SNAP stocking standards are raising the bar for real nutrition. We’re requiring more than 250,000 retailers to stock, at minimum, 28 varieties of healthy staples. more than doubling the old minimum of just 12. That means 7 varieties per category. 🥩 More real meat, poultry & fish 🥛 More dairy 🍞 More nutritious breads & grains 🥦 More fruits & vegetables No more loopholes letting jelly count as fruit or processed snacks stand in for real food! Better nutrition for families. Stronger protection for taxpayers against waste and fraud. This is MAHA in action!

@lippyent I found a used mattress and box spring somewhere, got some two-by-fours, and built a bunk bed for my roommate and me. One of us got the mattress, the other the box spring. Also got an easy chair out of a dumpster.

Not everything is about Trump. I just believe every citizen's vote ought to count the same. And that the person who gets the most votes ought to win. Also, wouldn't it be nice for Utah to no longer be ignored in presidential politics?
Mike Lee@BasedMikeLee

(1) Donald Trump won both the electoral college AND the popular vote—so if we did as Pete Buttigieg suggests, Trump would still be president. (2) If you don’t like the electoral college, you don’t like the Constitution.

You don't have to be an astrophysicist to figure out that homes and rent cost too much. Why? Because of a lack of housing supply—duh. My Build Now Act will incentivize new homebuilding and lower housing costs.

It seems to me the true purpose of our obviously unconstitutional SS program was to ensure citizens, and therefore States, would always be loyal to the union since nobody would want to secede from or go up against an organization that was holding their own personal retirement funds hostage. This is one of the reasons I think the chance of TX ever actually leaving the union is pretty preposterous.

@MissJilianne With Yosemite, there is simply more demand than it can handle. Too many visitors ruins the experience for everyone. So that may have something to do with it. There are national forrests that are just as impressive, and free, but far away from horrendously over-populated SoCal.

The health insurance industry hopes you never hear this: Medicare for All would save the average American family over $12,000 a year. Gone: monthly premiums. No premiums. No deductibles. No copays. No surprise bills. No “out-of-network” traps. No $500 ambulance bill months later. That is why they spend $150 million a year lobbying Congress.

A newly released video shows two men attacking a 77-year-old man who was walking down the street in downtown Seattle last month. The incident was captured by the city's Real Time Crime Center surveillance cameras, which monitor public areas that have been identified as crime hot spots. In the video, the victim is seen walking slowly southbound on Third Avenue, approaching a pharmacy at the corner of Pike Street. Without any prior interaction, two men shove the man to the ground and punch him, the video shows. They are then seen walking away from the man, who is left hunched over on the ground as bystanders walk past him. None of the witnesses to the attack approached or offered assistance to the man as he remained on the ground.
