Making things I never cared about the tools I had to learn, they were just a necessary obstacle to making the thing. I don't care which tools a creator had to grind, I care about the vision. The way people talk about AI tools makes me feel people have lost this understanding

@wesenns answered a question about it the other day. FWIW lots of people have told me it clicked for them when they hit 60s or so (you can get 200+ pretty often if you’re really good)

@jackcrawford__ visual artists are generally worse game designers since theyre making a game to show off their cool drawings or sprites. Ive been baited by good looking indie graphics too many times. There's a similar idea about animation and writing, they are often mutually exclusive skill sets

are apple-seers worse game designers? often in a game's flaws i can see a fight for primacy between cool visual ideas and cool gameplay ideas mindblind designers skip this conflict, AND have better abstract imagination (just like blind people have better hearing etc.)

btw, if you downsave from Adobe Animate to Flash CS6, be sure to convert your pencil strokes to fills. Tapered line settings for the pencil tool DON'T get carried over, so it'd be a good idea to preserve that by converting to fills under 'Modify-> Shape--> Convert Lines to Fill
