On April 27, 2011, our lives changed forever. A tornado outbreak ravaged Alabama and destroyed most everything my family owned. 15 years later, we reflect on that day, grateful that the Lord protected us in so many ways.
We will never forget the 252 Alabamians who tragically lost their lives that day. Please join us in praying for their loved ones.

@makennahsdad A true legend. I’m so grateful to have had him in my life. Not a better one out there.

For the past ten years, my wife and I have lived with the reality of my ALS diagnosis. We’ve had time to prepare, time to reflect, time to talk. And yet, even with all that time, the conversation about death is still hard for her. I understand that. Because no matter how strong your faith is, no matter how much you’ve prepared, saying goodbye to someone you love is never easy.
But here’s the truth: every couple will face this moment. One will go before the other. And while some are spared the pain of watching their spouse pass, it’s only because they themselves have gone first.
As Christians, we don’t have to fear death. We know what’s waiting on the other side—eternal life, the presence of the Lord, and a joy that no sorrow can touch. But that doesn’t mean we ignore death. It doesn’t mean we pretend it’s not real. It is real. And it hurts.
Losing a spouse is like losing a part of yourself. The silence in the house feels louder. The routines feel empty. The memories feel heavier. But even in that grief, God is near. He sees every tear. He holds every ache. And He promises that one day, He will wipe away every tear we’ve ever cried—including the ones we shed after our spouse has gone home.
Prayer:
Lord, help me face the reality of loss with courage and grace. Remind me that death is not the end, but the doorway to eternal life with You. Comfort those who are grieving, and prepare the hearts of those who will one day say goodbye. Thank You for the promise that You will wipe away every tear. Amen.

To every brave American who wore our nation's uniform: We are the Land of the Free because of you, the Brave. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. #VeteransDay

I had the pleasure of bumping into US Senator @KatieBrittforAL on my flight back from the DU Oklahoma State Convention. It was great to see such a strong supporter of @DucksUnlimited! Katie was on her way to Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention. #TeamDU #DuckPolicy

We’re continuing to pray for the loved ones of the rally attendee who was senselessly killed in yesterday’s assassination attempt, as well as for those who were injured.

We must never forget that the liberties, opportunities, and rights the Greatest Generation fought to preserve came at a tremendous cost. We are the land of the free because of the brave.
On this 80th anniversary of D-Day, we salute the heroes who stormed the beaches of Normandy and began the liberation of Europe.

We’ll never forget April 27, 2011. 13 years ago today, our family was saved by the grace of God.
Most of our house was totally destroyed. It was a complete loss. Our two vehicles were totaled. Most of our possessions were gone or unsalvageable. But none of that mattered.
We had everything we needed. We had our health, our lives. Our loved ones were safe. Our babies were unharmed. And we still had the opportunity to raise them.
We knew that we were blessed.

I was honored to visit @TuskegeeUniv yesterday after securing $6.7M in funding to launch its new flight school program. This program will empower generations of students to reach new heights, and I'm proud to support the next chapter in Tuskegee’s legacy of aviation excellence.

This new revelation raises more questions into the legitimacy of an already dubious decision by President Biden. Alabama’s congressional delegation is going to continue fighting to right this wrong.

My friends, Kimberly and Nathan Cox, opened @pressnco in downtown Daphne this week. Wesley Britt and I stopped by this morning to check it out. Small businesses are the core of our communities, and I know Press & Co will be extremely successful like all of their other ventures.
