Lots of uprooted trees in west Escambia County. Here, Savannah is pointing to a staff plate and pressure transducer that used to be at the bottom of the stream channel but was pulled upward when a nearby tree was blown over.

More debris at our Bay Street site in Gulf Breeze. Looks like our instrumentation held on. And this is a channel that is in bad need of an ecologically oriented restoration project.

Here's some cool rainfall data from Pensacola Bay area last week--similar rainfall measured at Pensacola Airport (~2.5 inches both days), but very different patterns in surrounding area. Thanks to all you WeatherUnderground weather station hosts!

Checking out stormwater infrastructure in "Unnamed tributary to Jackson Creek" near Pensacola, FL. Grad students Kaitlyn and Ronell will be collecting and analyzing discharge and water quality from this site (and 9 others nearby) later this year.
