Sixth graders served at Grace Klein Community yesterday clearing an area for a garden and sorting clothes, toys, and home goods as well as decorating boxes that will be used for food distribution.

Fifth graders visited with veterans at the VA Hospital for their Spring Service Project today. Students had the privilege sing The Marines’ Hymn for a 99-year-old colonel of the US Marines!

Here come the chicks! First graders studied the amazing way God designed an egg. Forty-eight eggs were set in an incubator and now the students must wait patiently for 21 days! They are praying for a healthy brood to hatch around April 23!

The sixth grade class wrapped up their D.C. trip by visiting the Jamestown original site where they learned about the first English settlement in North America. They also enjoyed watching artisans at the glass blowing before heading for home!

Sixth graders enjoyed their day in Williamsburg visiting the Governor’s Palace, watching a reenactment of a trial in colonial times, playing colonial games, and dining at a historic tavern.

The 6th graders finished their time in D.C. today before heading to Williamsburg. Students had a packed day with a tour of the Capitol and the Bible Museum and stops at the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court.

Last Thursday, the upper school house system had their annual lip sync competition. The students choreographed and performed music ranging from Greased Lightning to Spongebob. The House of Tolkien won first place with a decade mashup ranging from the 1950s to the 2000s.
