Huge well done to our Year 10/11 girls football squad on their win in the county cup against Lytchett. Goals from Cassie W x3 and Nell O-R x2. Player of the match goes to Nell for her tireless work in midfield and her cracking goals from a free kick and near the halfway line!⚽️

The ski and snowboard started this week and the students were very excited and showed good improvements ! Sign up for T2 is now live on parent pay !

Great effort from our WVA swimmers to be runners up to a good Budmouth team in the annual Sampson Trophy relay event 🏊‍♀️

So proud of the Will Mackaness Trust and The Wey Wey Valley Academy student leaders Friday and Sunday. Both long days where you can’t get things wrong! The athletes were super and I hope we served you well . Until next year. Chase the pudding next !

Alfie Richards in year 7 recently competed and won in a Jiu-jitsu tournament over in Newquay. Alfie competed in both gi and no-gi, placing top of the podium. Well done Alfie!!!

Here are the extra-curricular PE clubs running this term at Wey Valley, plenty of options for new and returning students to choose from!

This summer, Faith competed in the Upton House Summer Series - six one mile races throughout June/July/August and Faith won her age group for each one she ran in! Faith also became the record holder for the most number of junior parkruns run at Weymouth - currently 148!!

Frank Turner represented Dorset in their U15 waterpolo team yesterday. They played in a SW county waterpolo tournament at Millfield and the Dorset U15 team placed 2nd! Well done Frank!!

Our year 7/8 cricket team produced some outstanding cricket yesterday. A narrow game, with Budmouth chasing the score down in the last few overs. stand out performances from Kalei Haider-top scorer bat & bowl, and Wais Sulimankhil, with Wais taking a wicket on his first ball!!

Over 300 students joined Outdoor Adventure this year—from sailing & windsurfing to DofE expeditions in the Purbecks. Huge progress, great weather, and plenty of challenges! Big thanks to our amazing staff, volunteers & charities for making it all happen. 🌊🏕️🚴‍♂️

WVA students competed in 4 days of Athletics, relays, and tug of war. OSPREY won overall and received the new trophy! Tutor group winners: Y7 - DBR, Year 8 - HFR, Year 9 - SHH, Year 10 - EFO. ‘Spirit of sport’ awards were given, and Vhiel.S and Cara.H broke 20-year-old records!

Some of our KS3 pupils visited the Wimbledon Championships on Sunday. They had fantastic seats on No.1 Court and saw three finals: Gentleman's Wheelchair Singles, Boys Singles U18 and The Ladies Invitation Doubles. The group behaved impeccably throughout and did the academy proud

The last tennis competition of the year was held at Budmouth with year 7/8 and 9/10 girls and boys all taking part in a lovely morning of tennis. WVA won overall but a good standard was set by all🤝 Many thanks to all the tennis players this year you have had a great season🎾

Great in-house Cricket game in the sun between the players from both WVA teams. Our Year 7/8 now get ready for the Area Cup Final at redlands on Tuesday 15th July 🏏

The year 9/10s played well in their LTE tennis comp yesterday against QE. A big well done to Rosie Marsh in year 7 for playing 2-3 years up, and Gemma Cornell for stepping up last minute to play 🎾
