@PizzitolaFan I do think that continued success begets more support, which has happened with Princeton. But I agree that removing all priors Yale is a worse job, partly due to location. I also remember them not selling out a championship game against Harvard, which, smh

This ordering checks out. I think Penn is a better job than Harvard in a vacuum, but agree that Harvard might be better job at this moment in time. Is Yale really the second best job or has James Jones done an excellent job of making the most of the resources there?

@PizzitolaFan 9 out of 10 top 150 seasons pre Covid and 0 out of 4 post Covid. However, I have gone from pessimistic to cautiously pessimistic

@PizzitolaFan But he would need to prove it over a full season and go well into his second semester he definitely shouldn’t start sitting out

@PizzitolaFan He’s always been good but the shooting has taken a leap, and now he’s the point guard and that’s going well too. He’s also super long. If he gets a 5th year he could certainly start on a very good team

Chandler Pigge is quietly putting together a very impressive start to the season. In the Ivy League, he currently ranks 3rd in Offensive Rating amongst players with at least 24% of possessions used, 3rd in Assist Rate, 8th in Offensive Rebound %, and 10th in Steal %.

Here are last night’s top performances, led by a 40-piece from former Northern Illinois legend Diggy Coit! South Florida sophomore CJ Brown notched his first career double-double.

@PizzitolaFan I regret to inform you that HY or no HY this game wouldn’t be a big deal for either program/fanbase either way. Northeastern game has some juice to it but not BU

Great that these two programs are playing again, but why have them play outside of Boston and on the day of the Harvard - Yale game, basically guaranteeing that you get ~10 Harvard fans in the building.
BU Men's Basketball@TerrierMBB

For the first time since 2017, we’ll face Harvard in the 2025 @hoophallu Showcase at Mohegan Sun Arena — a premier early-season event spotlighting historic matchups and top programs. 🗓️ Saturday, Nov. 22 📍 Uncasville, CT #GoBU

Played w/ Danny Wolf at the FIBA U20 European Championship, presumably arrives as a 21-year old freshman. The numbers from his career aren’t eye-popping, but brings some needed size to the Crimson and, based on the mention of an agent, suggests Harvard has entered the NIL era.
Jeff Goodman@GoodmanHoops

Harvard had landed Avner Dror, a 6-9 big man who is playing for Hapoel Tel Aviv, his NIL agent Yuval Shaham told @thefieldof68. Dror is a former Israel U20 and U18 national team player who has served 3 years in the military, so he comes into the Crimson as an older player who should be able to make an immediate impact.

@PizzitolaFan It’s gotta be Hunt. I think you just put the best 5 out there and that’s plugging in Hunt and either Barbour or Ace-Nasteski. Maybe one of the three kids who de-committed would’ve started but alas

@wezekowitz Some of this also my patented "(over)react to team that Brown lost to in order to make sure I don't get surprised by future losses to said team" response - this has led me astray with Columbia and Dartmouth on many an occasion.

Here’s a list of how every coach with a March track record has performed relative to seed expectations over their career. Tom Izzo is a true outlier. Shaka Smart is… not great
