From the Garden to the Table: As a culminating activity, Mrs. Lanya Mayer and Layne Langley (LSU AG Department) made carrot fries for the students from the harvested carrots from the school garden. District 7 Board Member, Mrs. Sarah Wilson-Rogers joined in on the fun!
Congratulations goes to Tanner Cowart for earning 200 Accelerated Reader points and Reagan Adams for earning 300 points! They both received a $50 gift certificate and a signed ball!

Volunteers from the Friends of Cat Island joined WFMS Ag Science students to engage in a Tree Lab around campus. Students learned about the economic & wildlife value of native tree species. WFMS students planted over 1000 Cypress seedlings this week to commemorate #ArborDay!
Bains Elementary 3rd graders were able to escape Emoji Island by solving math challenges and puzzles thrown at them by emojis!

During their unit on marine engineering, Intro to Engineering students explored real-world uses of remote underwater vehicles (ROVs) then constructed frames, wire controllers, motors, and propellers for their SeaPerch underwater robots.

Culinary students participated in a “Food Truck” competition in which they designed their own business plan and prepared a signature dish. Classmates sampled each dish and voted on their favorite business plan.
