I just don’t see where you expect the story of Resident Evil to go game and film-wise if you don’t give it room to expand on the universe. That’s exactly what Cregger is doing and I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised if they’re not already excited.

A fucking hellish descent that seems impossible to survive (see: RE7). Like you’re in just in a fkn random house trying to escape and somehow your ass ends up in the sewer with a fat glob of crude oil chasing you and then suddenly you’re in an underground lab THAT is RE #tome

I’m too sleep deprived to get all the way into this but a true RE fan knows that the games aren’t just about Leon, Jill, Claire, Chris, etc. Like I LOVE them and they are hugely important to the games but spiritually they are zombie horror stories where characters are thrown into
