@speakerjohnash from the religiously instilled ideals, people latch onto different bits the easiest stuff to latch onto is the stuff that has to do with being useful to others and not asking too many questions so there are plenty of reasonably pious people who end up serving evil forces

@whatKCthought @JsonBasedman The 60 year old at Costco wearing a corncob hat and handing out samples to his friends and community with a warm smile is better than Diogenes. I just think getting out of the sun of others is in most cases most of the fruit of mutuality you can attain with anyone

@JsonBasedman The key is to not exist for those people. Alexander The Great offered Diogenes anything and Diogenes only wanted Alexander to get out of his son. Diogenes was a loser if that was the best thing he could ask for from Alexander but maybe he was trying to teach the most important ..
