So glad I took some time off before starting a new job today. I had a few days with no mental (work related) burden. It was bliss. Reminded me of my early 20s when I worked casual. Work stayed at work, and my spare time was my own.

Being a single parent, I mostly end up cooking 2 different meals because I have a very fussy kid. Haven’t cooked a roast in years. I wanted to go out for a Sunday roast today, and offered to get my son a nice meal of his choice, but he said no. One day I’ll have a roast. One day.
