@mynameismarines She throws everything and the kitchen sink into her dark novels because of *shock* value, and gets to do so as a member of a non-marginalized community. (i.e. kl*an, c*rtel, european organized cr*me). It’s not cute, and it’s why I will never read a book of hers again.

@mynameismarines I am SO GLAD you said something! I read the first three books in Hades Hangman and had the same thoughts. She is from England and casually throws around these atrocious things without understanding the FULL context of what this imagery and language mean to people in this country.
