It should be a wake-up call to CA Dems that this enormous and unremarkable field basically allowed Steyer to buy the governor's office. He essentially had the same theory that Bloomberg did nationally in 2020 - in a fractured field, all he needed was cash. Unlike Bloomberg, his closest opponent just imploded.

I realize there’s no perfect candidate in California and it’s possible that Steyer becomes mediocre once in Office, but he is by far articulating the best progressive agenda of any candidate.
He is definitely worth the risk, even if there is risk.
