Notes: A veterinarian saved her. She is in much much better shape than when she first came into Rescue. This is another case of we are going to change her life and save her life. You know we got this!!

The update you’ve all been waiting for! Sunset Boulevard, a nine week old Kitten, has Cauda Equina Syndrome. It’s a fancy way of saying spinal nerve damage in her lower back. She also has bilateral, rear, club feet. She failed her sensory test. She is not in any pain. We’re not sure she’s even aware that she has legs and or walks. I know they get in her way. She has infected sores around her anus and vulva. She has sores on her hocks. Her leg bones are twisted at every joint. There is nothing we can do to correct the bone structure. That said, her first Rescuer did an amazing job and she is in better shape than when she first came into Rescue. A veterinarian refused to euthanize her and got in touch with all of us. Her front end is so happy and she is wicked smart. She’s the perfect mix of spicy and sweet. We got her immediately into veterinary acupuncture. She has gained the ability to move her bowels and urinate. She is completely unaware that this is happening. In addition to a constant battle against infection from wear and tear on her rear, we run the risk of urine burns. Sunny B will have bilateral rear amputation and a spay on June 4, 2026.
