Don’t buy this. They did a full demonstration and reveal the way it was because they thought it looked great. If it looked bad, they would’ve just waited to have the devs show off how good it could look. GenAI isn’t here to produce art. It’s tricking you into thinking it is.

@maximilian_ I had your same reaction but this is NVIDIA's response. I think we are seeing initial showcases that have not been optimized or fine tuned by the developers at all yet. Grace Ashcroft won't look like that with DLSS 5 once Capcom actually tune it to their artstyle for example.

ONCE YOU OWN A GAME, Steam forces developers to use Steam payments for all in-game purchases and pay 30%. This is the practice courts found illegal for Apple and Google.

Steam’s rules do explicitly prohibit games from steering players to competing purchase methods, forcing everyone to pay 30% to Valve. Apple and Google did the same until the court explicitly found this practice to be unlawful. Now they don’t!

highguard is not bad, it's just a boring feature creeped gimmick that is ten years late to the party. even the first match felt repetitive. maps are too big for 3v3, it's practically empty. environment art and animations are well made, truly sorry for all the talanted devs who worked on it. another prime example of how disassociated corporates are from actual players. the only thing that justifies its existence is free-to-play model. it might keep it on life support while devs figure out how to completely resculpt core gameplay to make it fun.
