Not to defend Overwatch, but I tried playing this recently, I was so bored. Actually had zero gameplay. Just a walking sim.

The only way you can meaningfully interact with the world in uncharted is shooting things, everything else is done for you or told to you how to solve by NPCs lol. Something can be linear and still present a challenge, critical thinking, problem solving, etc. I guess you're just the target audience for lowered expectations from an interactive medium: the lowest common denominator. And that's fine, statically people like you will exist in multitudes

Yeah, we don't want to have any sort of friction, actual adventuring, meaningful exploration, the need for critical thinking to any degree, or demanding problem solving skills in our toothless Indiana Jones ripoff. Just a happy baby theme park ride for the lowest common denominator!

My favorite part of uncharted is the toddler level "puzzles" and the "platforming" that is brain dead baby mode. So epic bro. Also the fact that it's Indiana Jones with all grit and rough edges removed. I definitely wouldn't be better off and more fulfilled just watching the first 3 Indiana Jones films, I'd rather spend like dozens of hours with a shittier version of it that has vaguely interactive "set pieces"

All of the uncharted games are like that. Absolutely brain dead dialogue, writing, shooting. The "platforming" plays itself and is akin to just watching animations unfold. It just goes to show you how utterly tasteless and just plain stupid the average gamer is. Dazzle them with shiny graphics and their brains short circuit and immediately assume the game they're playing is also good. Just dangle the keys in front of them like a toddler and ALL critical thinking, if they ever could do that in the first place, ceases. It's actually pathetic

How about nobody? I'm already paying taxes on my wages to the federal government and the state, they both want a huge chunk of my paycheck. I'm being taxed when I buy and sell things, my state keeps adding to the sales tax for projects and are proposed as temporary, but they never go away. I get the shit taxed out of me and the roads in my state are some of the worst in the nation, we have no public transportation system other than a cute trinket of a trolley system downtown that is more of a novelty than anything meaningful. I get taxed to exist on land I own and a house I own. In America. That doesn't sound very American to me, that sounds like something the UK would cook up to further exploit and oppress the native British that their government holds an open genocidal contempt for. There's tent cities of homeless people popping up in OKC and I'm even starting to see vagrants wandering around in my home south of the metro area. The people who run the public park the last sales tax project are turbo libbed out. We have people from liberal states like California fleeing here. I'm seeing more and more out of state car tags every day. The federal government is a joke, and my tax dollars are mostly going to fraudulent things. The spending is completely out of control. Doing something with the government vs privately immediately jacks the cost up just because they know the government will pay it. Our country is being invaded by third worlders non stop, and I'm seeing more and more of them that barely or don't speak English at all and their attitudes are utterly repugnant towards me, they're dumb, lazy, extremely rude, and their sense of entitlement is something that I'll never feel in my entire life. I can't wait until this pile of shit "emperor has no clothes" situation of an empire completely collapses. It will be violent, bloody, chaotic, and history will look back at us like "how the fuck did they let that happen? How could they be so shortsighted and blind to the truth?" God damn you all to hell, each and every single politician and do-nothing pencil pushing bureaucrat that idly acquiesced and just let this happen. Fuck baby boomers that let this happen and then spit venom at the upcoming generations for pointing it out. Fuck. Yourself.
