@whofavoredfire @rodio_se_mis To be fair, when Kenny found him Levi was severely malnourished and traumatized; it’s no surprise to me that he was all but nonverbal. Also Kenny waiting a decade before going to check on Kuchel totally tracks with him imo

now that we have more levi childhood content, what do we think, how old was levi when his mom died vs when Kenny left him?

@rodio_se_mis Like if we assume Levi was 9 when Kenny finds him, that means Kenny basically spoke to Kuchel and then waited a decade before going back to check on her

@rodio_se_mis What I get hung up on is 7yo Zeke is more articulate & aware in ch114 than Levi when Kenny found him + the age Levi is then < the years it takes Kenny to look for Kuchel after talking to his grandfather (since she was pregnant then) Makes it hard for me to buy Levi is 7+ then

@N0IQTakes Honestly would’ve made sense- it’s not like Levi wasn’t already in the other 2 side stories and Isayama had used that in the past to show more on him But I kind of like how this was told to Gabi and Falco, feels right for a few reasons

Just read #badboyLevi & have so many thoughts- one thing that seems really obvious is that other than the telling the story to Gabi, it’s clear this was something of a deleted scene Isayama came up with ages ago All the pieces have been alluded to before in interviews or canon

@rodio_se_mis Because we knew based on the hints how important this story is to Levi’s character- so emotional for me and strangely validating to see what was interred play out too imo

@drunkeldian If strength was the key to Ymir’s issues, the curse would have ends thousands of years ago If a whoever was revived in serumbowl had to prove their life was worthy of living through their actions, it’d undermine the story’s messages in a serious way I love this choice so much

@drunkeldian Mikasa’s choice freeing Ymir, an all powerful being who is nonetheless trapped, by her emotional strength rather than becoming a new humanity’s strongest & Armin’s perspective + unique experiences rather than being Erwin 2.0 being his impact was way more fitting thematically imo

Appreciate that Isayama avoided the typical shonen route of the new generation having to surpass the old. Despite both Armin and Mikasa having this burden dropped on them, their character arcs never hinged upon the validation of living up to the legacies of Erwin and Levi.
