Balochistan’s Message on the First Anniversary of the Pahalgam Terror Attack
By: Mir Yar Baloch
On the first anniversary of the tragic and inhumane terrorist attack in Pahalgam where Pakistan targeted twenty-six innocent and unarmed tourists in front of their families and children the people of the Republic of Balochistan pay tribute to the victims.
We deeply share the grief and pain of those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack, because for the past seventy-eight years, we too have been direct victims of Pakistan’s terrorism, occupation, and exploitation. We understand your suffering all too well.
Last year, Pakistan’s occupying military itself admitted that it conducts nearly 200 military operations daily in Balochistan, amounting to around 90,000 operations in a single year.
Just recently, they dumped the bodies of several innocent Baloch youths individuals who had been detained for years and subjected to severe torture in military custody. Many bodies showed horrific signs of abuse: fingernails and fingers smashed with hammers, eyes gouged out, and 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans carved into their bodies with sharp instruments. it shows that Pakistan failed to make them such slogans when they were alive. In the past, particularly during the 1970s, thousands of our people were abducted and thrown from low-flying helicopters by the Pakistani Air Force.
There is no doubt that the Pahalgam was an act of terrorism carried out by Pakistan’s military and ISI. The way India’s current government responded by striking targets and military installations within Pakistan was a bold and commendable decision. Six crore Baloch, Sindhi, and Pashtun people stood firmly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian armed forces, and the 1.4 billion people of India and continue to stand with them.
Operation Sindoor, which is still ongoing, must be intensified further. The extremist groups previously targeted by India, nurtured and trained by the ISI have now spread from Punjab into Balochistan, Pashtunistan, and Sindh. Organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and many others are openly supported by Pakistan’s military, given political platforms, official protocol, and billions in funding. These groups are becoming increasingly dangerous, and Pakistan’s strategy appears to be expanding their presence across multiple regions to complicate India’s defensive efforts in the event of war.
As a friend, we urge India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to delay restarting and intensifying Operation Sindoor. Every delay allows Pakistan more time to strengthen its terrorist networks. These extremist groups are essentially the extensions of the ISI and the Pakistani military, they cannot be eliminated unless the system that creates and sustains them is defeated.
This is a critical moment. Across Balochistan, Afghanistan, Pashtunistan, and Sindh, millions are on the streets, exhausted by military brutality and burying their loved ones. If you call upon those sitting in comfort and those burying their dead, it is the latter who will respond first because they seek justice, freedom and an end to oppression.
The people of Balochistan and Afghanistan are weary of occupation, yet they remain resilient and determined. Their spirit is unbroken. I am confident that patriots of India are ready to offer blood, will not hesitate to extend financial, political, and diplomatic support for the cause of Balochistan’s freedom safeguarding India.
History reminds us that India’s daughter, Indira Gandhi, intervened in 1971 to stop the genocide of Bengalis and helped them achieve independence from Pakistan. Today, history may be waiting for Prime Minister Modi to take a similar step in supporting the liberation of Balochistan.
Sir, You have the opportunity to become the first Indian Prime Minister whose name is written in golden letters in history not only for earning the trust of the people but for reshaping the destiny of a nation.

If there were no #Pakistan in this region, believe me, there would be no borders between Central and South Asia. a peaceful region where an Indian could go to #Kazakhstan in his own car without a visa, and I would be able to go to Delhi. Pakistan is the cancer of the region.
