After being a Claude Code devotee for a year, I finally tried Codex on a new project this weekend. Once again, in the matter of a few months, it feels like the world changed. I can see myself doing *everything* inside of Codex this week.

@heyclicky @FarzaTV I stupidly installed Clicky whenever I was VNC-ing and from another computer, so I couldn't hear the onboarding. Is there a way for me to see it online somewhere?

@fortelabs Apple Notes supports Markdown, but doesn't have any easy MD formatting tools. Bear is probably my favorite simple one. But I put in some work with Obsidian to get it simple and am now happy with it as my daily driver.

Can anyone recommend a dead simple, easy to use notetaking app based on markdown files? Obsidian is far too complicated for me. I'm looking for Apple Notes, but with markdown storage

@Astropad This isn't working. I went in and added what I thought was an override under app keyboard shortcuts in system settings, but that didn't do it either. Can you either provide a way to remap this shortcut or shut off the menu bar functionality without shutting off Workbench itself?

@IanYanusko @diabrowser It seems to be happening on all websites. The only thing I think I installed in the last few days is Astropad Workbench.

@diabrowser The latest Early Birds doesn't seem to support the copy URL shortcut. It's like I lost my dominant hand!

@mronge @TechSupporticus Muscle memory makes it hard to not use command-tab for app switching and command-space for Raycast. I know other Remote Desktop software has a similar problem with iOS. Any chance you can make the iPad pass through keyboard shortcuts?

MacOS on my M5 iPad Pro! This is done via Workbench, a very good RDP client made specifically for Mac and iOS. Can access my headless M4 Mac mini from anywhere, making my iPad Pro just about as useful as if it had MacOS itself natively! Gonna use this a ton heheheh

@Astropad Is there a way to use Mac keyboard shortcuts like command-space (to bring up Raycast) or command-tab with Workbench on the iPad with a hardware keyboard? I’m getting iOS behavior for those.

I have been working on Obsidian Reader for a over a year. I didn't want to share it until I felt it was good enough. It's finally there. Consistent formatting for any article. Outline, syntax highlighting, nice footnotes, adjustable typography. Runs locally. Just rules, no AI.
