Thanks to @AMDApaltc for the opportunity to speak yesterday at the annual meeting in Baltimore on nursing home staff. As I said during my remarks, “We’ve overlooked and undervalued this workforce for a long time, and now we’re at a full blown crisis."

Omicron has led to a staffing "crisis on steroids" in nursing homes.
The answer? It starts with better pay AND accountability. As I told @rebtanhs, “If we’re going to pay more. We also need to make sure the money is going toward what it’s intended for.”

This is why nursing homes should have not been singled out for staff vaccination:
