@Hertsbirder @Hertsbirds Where did you watch from. I looked over the gate and from the Churchyard too but no luck today. Mind you, the trees are much more vegetated now

@MeganMcCubbin @ChrisGPackham You both have my support. I hope the haters get a proper sentence that fits the crime. Something they will remember for their entire life.

My stepdad @ChrisGPackham has bared the brunt of obsessive bullies who’ve burnt down his gates, thrown dead animals into his garden + sent death threats. They spread lies and hate because he stands up for wildlife. I stand by him wholeheartedly Pls share crowdjustice.com/case/support-c…

@wildTony2 @Hertsbirds From the A505 take road to Sandon, go past dog kennals on your right, down the hill & they are in the field immediately on the left toward the hedge further along

@Whicheloe Greater bird's-foot-trefoil to be precise, rather than common bird's-foot-trefoil.

@Whicheloe Like to think my Phase I report from a few years ago helped to drive the thoughts about making improvements. I certainly provided some recommendations but it is good to see areas that might have been originally thought to have to remain the same being made better for wildlife.

@Alan_Taffinder @sophiejbjones If we don't do something quick, the dark ages as you call them or probably much worse will be on us within at least 3 generations or less. The technologies to replace fossil fuel burning are here now but they need to be implemented world wide rapidly rather than slowly.

@sophiejbjones If these 'young legends' were in charge, we would be living in the dark ages again. They want 'action' but never specify what action... I want a sustainable economy, with a phase out of fossil fuels, and an end to deforestation. But we have to be realistic about timeframes.

@Whicheloe @ecoschemes I think academics and applied ecologists don't communicate enough and both typically put their findings in different journals and other docs and rarely look at the other parties findings as a consequence.

Is it just me that finds scientific research completely abstract and irrelevant to applied ecology in the UK? #hopeImWrong @ecoschemes

@Whicheloe And the tree along with cutting actually eventually causes the grassland underneath to become bare ground.

Mounds with trees...... If you are a landscape architect.... Note how dull and ecologically barren this is as a design choice. #thinkdifferent
