Parents, looking for a fun, easy activity you can do at home? The awesome Jayme Yanuzzi from @teachtalkinspire teaches us how to make ewwy, gooey Oobleck! It's soooo easy and kids ABSOLUTELY love it. In this video we used two cups corn starch, one cup water, and a few drops of yellow and blue food coloring. A little mixing and viola — you've got a genuine non-Newtonian liquid! Pour it and it's a liquid. Punch it or hit it with a hammer and it solidifies instantly. School's back in session, Wildings, and if you lived in the Philippines you might be going to class in a school made of recycled plastic bottles! ♻️ It's true — a group called the My Shelter Foundation used over 9,000 bottles and dozens of volunteers to build the structure. We have a visitor! 👽 👾 From the depths of interstellar space comes 31/ATLAS, a city-sized object believed to be 10 billion years old! Only the third such object ever observed, 31/ATLAS is the also the fastest thing ever detected — traveling over 130,000 mph.🚀 Objects like this are usually assumed to be comets, but Harvard’s top astronomer thinks this could be alien technology making a deliberate visit to our solar system! He even wants to beam it a six-word message using laser light: "Hello, welcome to our neighborhood. Peace!" ☮️ Whatever it is, we’ll know a lot more on October 27 of this year when 31/ATLAS reaches perihelion, or its closest point to our sun, when it passes within the orbit of Mars. SOUND ON 🔊 so you can hear the world's largest instrument! The Great Stalacpipe Organ is a cave organ in @luraycaverns Virginia, USA. A CAVE ORGAN! 🦇 🎹 @guinnessworldrecords says the organ takes up at 3.5 acres. That's almost three football fields! When the organ is played, electronic rubber mallets strike ancient rock formations called stalactites. Musician and engineer Leland W. Sprinkle invented and built the organ, shaving down 37 stalactites until they all resonated with the exact right notes. We think it sounds weird and beautiful!
