With a background in the bus industry and and some understanding of the impact on the people directly affected, the driver and customers, the bus company and of course the law abiding citizens of the Harehills area I felt physically sick seeing this unfold! 😡

@Lordflashh3art With a birthday at the end of Jan and an attempt at dry Jan till said birthday, I invariably feel like shit for 4 weeks and then get smashed, 2 day hangover, what’s the point! Hic

Impossible to call out in detail all of the efforts made by the @FirstWestYorks teams across the patch over the last few days, Hardest day I’ve ever done! From a 30 year man, team handing out water, ice creams, ice pops we even handed to the Police and a random Transdev Dvr

Best bit of my week, got across to our Halifax depot to wish John a long and happy retirement, 40 years service is not to be sniffed at, well done that man 👏👏👏 A few update pics from HX Bus Station and I caught Lisa one of our Cust Services team planning for the Pride Weekend.

Visited @FirstWestYorks P&R sites today, Stourton AM and Temple Green PM afternoon. Great to see the customers being expertly looked after by the team. Caught up with Cat and Dave and a few drivers including one from our recent recruitment campaign, can you spot him 👀

Managed to grab a few minutes to have a “corridor conference” with a mixed group of staff from our @FirstWestYorks Bramley Depot, good to see them and nice last second photo bomb by big Richard!

Lovely start to the day seeing the smiles on drivers faces after they received thank you notes from @SchoolBeechwood kids following a short trip to cinema via our DRT service, well done Sara and Russell out of our @FirstWestYorks Hunslet Depot

After a morning in Huddersfield, a hop skip and a jump across to @FirstWestYorks Halifax to see a few people and catch up with how the new Bus Station is coming along, we really do need the space freeing up! A happy (if follically challenged bunch) 😉

Faultless inward journey on @FirstYork Askham Bar Park and Ride service, really nice to see a couple of familiar faces too, reminding me that Bus Priority measures make all the difference 👍

Nearly 42 years service as a Driver, Supervisor and Technical support, happy retirement John, we ended on a laugh (serious eye contact awaiting the pic to be taken) great support to me personally in the past and to Bramley depot for years 👏👏👏
