@willesdenchess1 @ecfchess @schoolschess Overall, England currently has some great talent among junior players, so I think in the long run could be hope for a high Olympiad finish, maybe even a medal. I think Bodhana will play there too, as she could be 2600, maybe a 2700+ player, an important addition to the team.

Last year I attended a community police event in Clapham. They laughed at the suggestion of arresting youths for ‘minor’ shoplifting.. They wouldn’t bother arresting someone smoking cannabis. Why would they care about such ‘small’ crimes? This is the inevitable outcome 👇

Rent on all social housing which is near 20% of Englands housing and 40% in inner London is set centrally by the social housing regulator. The result is inefficiently distributed housing which increases rents in the private sector. We still have rent control and its terrible!

We had rent controls in Britain until 1915 to 1988 and during this time housebuilding regularly hit over 300k per year. Since they were removed, the house price to income ratio has gone from 4:1 to around 8:1, and housebuilding numbers have collapsed.
