@willguyatt Try calling BBC Business services to start the wheels turning but be prepared to spend a long time on the phone. These are the instructions I was given Business Support Service Desk (0800 0581870) and select 3 (Contingent Workforce queries) then 2

So all BBC freelancer payments have been made through a new system since 1 April, which requires freelancers to log in to "claim" the payment before it's processed. But no one has sent me a link to register on this new system yet so none of my payments can go through😵💫

@soniasodha There's a multitude of difference systems. The Artists & Contributors, Freelancers, Casual and they don't all talk to each other. My payments stopped 31st March and I've got around 20 things that simply don't exist or can't be seen and NOBODY will investigate.

In my semi regular series of chats with @LBC’s @NIAbbot about the rise of AI - our extended 16-minute conversation started from government departments disagreeing on the amount of energy infrastructure required to power the “AI revolution” here in the UK.
We covered a lot ground in the conversation- including the fact the energy used to generate the eight second video version of the image of our LBC colleague, Nick Ferrari being chased by a bear on a moped through London’s Leicester Square would have powered a microwave for an hour.
