Yesterday, we had to say goodbye to our beloved Mr Fuzz. He went to sleep in our arms, surrounded by love. Our hearts are broken. He was the best boy.

@lauraemacdonald I can certainly relate! Am coediting 2 different collections at the moment and have two chapters due for other collections in August. Learning a lot, though, which is always good.

It's hard to say no to friends or fancy publications, esp if you're job hunting and want to show you're in demand, but unless you enjoy feeling like a prose-generating machine, practice saying no. I say this w 7500 words due in 2 weeks, and 8000 more nipping at my heels #notfun

My cautionary tale: I started the academic year with six article and book chapter commissions to complete for various editors in 2019-20, besides anything I initiated myself. Four of those are now published or in press, along with a book and a performance review. 1/3

So delighted to have seen Southwest Baptist University Theatre’s production of Overture by @funkymamamusic and Barbara Nichols on Saturday. Still amazed to see my work on the KC Philharmonic sung on stage in a musical!

Beautiful final performance of Girlfriend this afternoon @SpinningTreeKC - so glad to have been able to see this delightful musical by Todd Almond & Matthew Sweet.
