I’m delighted to share a deeply meaningful milestone from the Abu Dhabi Art Fair, where I unveiled a collaborative body of work with the brilliant pop artist @williamschechet. This series is especially important to me because it reflects my own artistic journey. For those who may not know, I work primarily with pencil and charcoal, exploring texture, emotion, and identity through detailed hand-drawn compositions.
For this collaboration, I created a set of pencil and charcoal portraits that Williams then enhanced with his signature pop art style — merging fine-line realism with a bold contemporary expression. Together, we crafted pieces that honour Nigerian creativity, celebrate our cultural depth, and present a unified visual narrative on a global stage.
My gratitude goes to my Chief Advisor @fi2_africa and the Director-General of the National Theatre, Tola Akerele for their unwavering support in bringing this vision to life. This collaboration is a testament to the power of partnership and my continued commitment to open more doors for Nigerian visual artists.
This is only the beginning. I remain dedicated to building platforms, forging collaborations, and ensuring that the brilliance of Nigerian art is seen, appreciated, and valued across the world.

In an inspiring display of boldness, Glenfiddich and visual artist @williamschechet brought whisky and art together in a way only true visionaries could.
The spotlight was on the limited-edition whisky sleeves, reinterpreted through Chechet’s signature artistic style. Each sleeve design for the 12, 15, and 18-year-old single malts told its own story — bridging tradition, culture and innovation through detailed artistry.
