On this day four years ago the Commanders name was announced by Dan Snyder. I don't have the same venom for the name that many have. I don't love it, though. I hate that it was chosen by passerby employees who had no long-term skin in the game. They came. They picked a name. Then they left. All of them. Dozens and dozens of high-ranking folks (many of them were very nice and likable people) who are now working for other teams and in other sports and in other industries. And I'm still here with Commanders and will be for the rest of my life. That's my annoyance. Anyway, happy Anniversary. And kudos to the Ownership group for bringing back the Redskins uniforms so that the team at least still looks like the thing we all grew up loving.
