Praise the Lord for these two queens for being Jonathan’s ultimate demise. Hopefully they’ll keep him losing sleep for another 4 years. #Survivor50 #Survivor

Because she said she tired of hearing him talk about his loss? Thats what turned you off of Parvati? Damn
Ntl@ntl0022

@J2daJones The bullying of Jonathan after the show has been ridiculous. I used to like Parv, but no thank you now.

She has such a polite way of telling people to kiss her Black Grand Slam winning ass.

Naomi Osaka on why she chose to host a party for the black tennis players: “You know I'm seeing a little bit of- ‘Why can't you love everyone for all skin tones?’ and ‘what if someone had an all white party?! First of all I do love everyone for who they are no matter their race + ethnicity, (I'm literally half Japanese lol). I can only speak from my experiences in my own life though, growing up as a tennis player I didn't see many people that looked like ME and I feel like it's important to celebrate them. Secondly I feel like it's important to note that there have been all white dinners/parties. I don't know how else to tell you this, I literally seen them all the time and never had an issue with it at all. To the people who ask this question I want to ask you this question too, ‘What is it about POC getting together that unsettles you so much?’ I want to end this by saying I grew up watching my dad get discriminated against, having the cops called on him multiple times at the tennis court. There are multiple things I will apologize for in my life but celebrating being black and appreciating who we are will never be something I would consider saying sorry for. Thanks. Actually I lied, I am sorry. I'm sorry for the people who cannot comprehend in their brains that this is not about exclusion, this is a celebration about how far we have come 🖤” (via Naomi on Threads)

One of my friends tried to downplay her run due to only knowing her presently, but they grew up in the church therefore didn’t really listen to secular music so they had no idea how big she actually was when she really popped.
ERIC LAMONT@BlameEricLamont

It might be a trend to rewrite and discredit our Black legends, especially the women. Black Women. Rage Bait = Engagement. But, the facts about Ashanti are this. She had a very successful three platinum album run in THREE years. Two of those albums went #1. One broke records. She’s still in the Guinness Book Of World Records for highest debut album sales for a female artist [Over 500K her first week]. The only reason her third album had a short lived run is because her label had a serious legal issue going on which halted everyone’s promo and money from Ashanti to Lloyd to Ja Rule. She spent her own money finishing the album’s rollout. She then got into very successful movies and Broadway plays & musicals. Nobody ever considered her Aaliyah’s replacement. Ashanti was signed three times before Aaliyah passed and was releasing music before Aaliyah passed. Ashanti was modeled in the image of Mary J. Blige. Especially sonically. She was discovered singing MJB. Murder Inc’s documentary will tell you this. Or two fucking ears. Her music career hitting a snag had nothing to do with Rihanna, Ciara, nor Beyonce. She and Beyonce were #1 the same year, both killing it. Unfortunately, 4 years passed before we got another Ashanti record and the game had changed. A Grammy, 20 million records later, three platinum albums & 19 Hot 100 entries later - Mrs. Haynes has had a great career due to her and her mother’s hard work. Let’s celebrate Black women in Pop, R&B, etc without dismissing & diminishing another. There’s room for plenty to win.

What kind of shitty country would deny student loan forgiveness but give January 6th rioters forgiveness and pay them $1.8 billion?
