Tune in to the conversation I had with @willjohncock on the @ViaStoica Podcast. We discussed his book, Beyond the Individual and how Stoicism relates to a lot more than just the self. Find the links 👇👇👇
Via Stoica@ViaStoica

This week, we had Will Johncock as a guest on the Via Stoica Podcast to talk about his book Beyond the Individual. Together, @Benny_ViaStoica and Will explored the importance and vital role that connections and relationships have in Stoicism. His book is a fascinating read that offers a different perspective on the usual, more self-focused Stoic literature that is out there. This is a great book and I highly recommend Beyond the Individual by @willjohncock. It takes a different look at Stoicism. Instead of self-help, it looks at the interconnectedness of Nature and the part we play. Check out our book review 👇👇👇

Book review: Beyond the Individual by @willjohncock. This book brings an important part of Stoicism to the reader's attention. Stoic philosophy is about the interconnectedness of the rational universe. Only by understanding this unity can we begin to work on the self in a virtuous way. There is no separation between the self and the world around us; it is all one, acting on different levels, but always coming back to the core, the logos. In Beyond the Individual, Will Johncock does an excellent job of finding that balance. Examining all aspects we experience as the self and mirroring it to Nature. This is a must-read book for anyone who is on their Stoic journey. It is especially important for those who are only focused inward, to widen their view to the world around them. You can read the full book review here: viastoica.com/beyond-the-ind… But better yet, read the book! #stoicism #bookreview

@LxWrites1 Hi, apologies for the late reply. I don't have a definite date at this point, it's a large project and in order that the translation is as precise as possible, I've had to research some of the context around the work. Hoping for mid-late 2025, sorry I can't be more precise!

@willjohncock Hi, Will. On the Planktos website, it says your translation of Léontine Zanta's 'Revival of Stoicism in the 16th c.' is available soon. Any idea as to when that might be published? Thanks.
