This two-story, three-bedroom, two bath, with a dining room, two living rooms, and two massive balconies, in Yantai, Shandong cost just $25,000 USD.
I know because my wife and I just bought it.
This is where I will retire.
My wife let me have the small guest bedroom for my own personal library. I'll post pics after it's set up.
The second floor has two balconies, one large one on one side, and one absolutely massive wrap around balcony on the other side.
It's just a five minute walk from the beach.
With affordable apartments like these, it's no wonder 93% of all Chinese adults own their own apartment. 80% of those, have no mortgage of any kind.
68.79% of all Chinese people live in urban areas where ownership is 90%+. The remaining households are in rural areas, where homeownership is close to 96%.
The next time someone tells you China has a 'real estate crisis,' ask them for whom is there a crisis? The buyers? Or the speculators?

@RuggedWojak We made the move to Indonesia last year from the Netherlands. We live in Bali now. For now we enjoy it. I have 2 daughters and they are more happy in the weather and outdoor life.

It’s night in Germany 🇩🇪 I’m on Vacation.
I should rest, but here I’m laying and thinking about to move to Portugal.
My goal is to have a big garden and live near the coast.
German weather and society is making me sick.
On the other hand I have a good paying job, family, kids, own house.
Responsibilities.
But my decision is clear, I want to move to Portugal 🇵🇹 not because tax benefits but perfect climate for growing living.
Over the next month i will plan and prepare how to manage this.
Life is short and I want to grow old near the coast.
Thank you for your time.

@YourFellowArab I have some fake gold and silver coins too. Just in case. They will find out after i left. Because it is in original case and stamp 😁

🚨EMERGENCY MEXICO SAUCE🚨
If you are a U.S. citizen (or anybody) stuck in Mexico right now— 🇲🇽🇺🇸
I recommend keeping a few $100 BILLS in your pockets at all times.
Not a $10, not a $20, not a $50
A hundred dollar bill in a foreign country can bribe you into anywhere. Any taxi, any police officer, any normal citizen will take off work to help you get somewhere safely & they will defend you with their life.
IT IS STRONGER THAN A EURO, STRONGER THAN $500 IN PESOS, STRONGER THAN ANYTHING
DONT FLASH IT, but use it as a bargaining chip. Give them one up front, give them two as a tip before you leave.
They will call all their local cousins & friends to smuggle you across the border safely & protect you with their life.
I’m an expert I’ve been to 80+ countries and I’ve used this many times in dire situations. Don’t be stingy, it’s less than a night at a hotel, and for them it’s a month salary.
HUMANS LIKE TO HELP HUMANS.
Don’t play stingy during these situations, pay for your safety & escape. It’s going to get much much worse.

@FCTimmermans Ik heb dat in 2025 gedaan met mijn gezin en geen seconde spijt van.
Nederlands

@gabrelyanov I left in 2025. With my family. Out from the EU. Enjoying live in Indonesia. And we see later where i go. Bit was the best choice i made
English

@redhairshanks86 @Rekt_Archi NL and EU are doomed. Dutch people work hardest with the Germans. Instead of being appreciated they used to milk every last cent. Thats why i left the EU
English

@Rekt_Archi brother, please don’t pretend to be a tough guy here in my comments
you literally are about to pay 36% in taxes for unrealised gainz, in my eyes you are more woman than man
i don’t know any nation with balls that would tolerate that
English

tbh it’s the dutch people’s own fault
like the rest of europe, the netherlands is very left and, as a result, their elected politicians are also very left and come up with stupid ideas like putting a 36% tax on unrealised gains
no population with testosterone in their blood would tolerate such bad policy that makes it impossible for wage slaves to build some wealth to one day not have to slave away their entire life
the dutch people deserve what they voted for
English

@burgercomiteeu Ik zit in Bali voor nu. We hebben hier een grote NL se gemeenschap.

@seftonhanley @jessebday Some shops in Thailand have ques. But overall you can buy everywhere. But people where buying in masses there too two weeks ago
English

@jessebday Local news reporting massive queues in singapore also.
Not seeing huge lines or crowds in Thailand but its a very well supplied market here.

Some anecdotal evidence on retail #gold buying in Japan from my mother-in-law. She went today to a major gold bullion dealer in Tokyo an hour before it opened. There were 200 people in line before her and they were handed a limited number of entry tickets, she was unable to get one and had to return with no gold. Wild.

since 2017 #uranium spot price has gone up 333% and literally no new greenfield supply has come online, a few old brownfield restarts and thats it.
you can name any other commodity in the world and if price goes up that much you can guarantee new supply responds to that price.
we now have uranium deficits forecasted all the way out to 2045 and greenfields projects still have not come online.
we need to see significantly higher prices to incentivise new production, the squeeze is inevitable and it will be glorious.

Bluntz@Bluntz_Capital
uranium deficits forecasted from literally right now all the way out to 2040 with no end in sight. i've never seen an industry with such good long term measurable fundamentals as #uranium right now in all the time ive been trading. even if U price skyrockets, it wont bring new new production online, that takes years to achieve.
English

@ModernCeasar @WallStreetMav And the EU followed without hesitation and now complains about where the people are coming from. Both are in fault here
English

@ModernCeasar @WallStreetMav Probably if you dint bomb their countries and stuck your noses in every government who doesnt follow usa. Then EU wouldnt have that problem. But that was probably the whole plan to make EU weaker by bombing the shit out of countries on false promises. And then let people out

True story
In Apr 2011 I posted a public blog (peterlbrandt.com/how-do-you-spe… predicting within $1 and one day the high of Silver at $50. I subsequently called for a decline into the teens.
I was plagued by Silver bull trolls for years afterwards. Since then they have averaged a gain of about $1 per oz per year. Great returns, right?
Many of the same bulls wrong then will be wrong again.
I am NOT calling for a Silver top this time, in fact I own a large position in Silver and think $80s are possible.
But remember, the same perma bulls that were so wrong in 2011 are the people calling for $200 Silver today.

I’ll be watching from Paraguay 🇵🇾
WarMonitor🇺🇦🇬🇧@WarMonitor3
NATOs Rutte: "We must be prepared for the scale of war our grandparents and great-grandparents endured." Wow.
English

@hispanicnomad Yes we all did. And many more. Only what we can do is spread the word and help
English

@willnarsingh Fair enough. Same with me & Paraguay
The important thing is that you took the first step
English

It's almost been a year since I decided to leave Europe for good
I had been going back and forth from LatAm and Asia for almost a decade. But I always though I'd grow old in my home continent
However... the writing was on the wall, and finally I made the decision to move my home base to Paraguay 🇵🇾
Here's some of the factors that helped me make the choice:
❌ All the problems we have now in Europe (expensive housing, public debt, inflation, low salaries, high taxes) will only get WORSE in the upcoming decades
❌ Safety (which is one of the big reasons why people want to stay) is quickly disappearing. I have been to all Western European capitals, and I would not want to live in any of them for this reason alone
❌ The culture punishes entrepreneurs, doers and makers. It's a great place if you're retired, but horrible if you have even a shred of ambition
❌ People are just envious. If you're doing well, you can't talk about it with anyone, because they'll start attacking you
❌ We're EXTREMELY polarized. I used to be pretty mild in my worldviews, and was still attacked by others who thought the were the guardians of Truth. I was kicked out of class in public university, personally attacked by "friends", etc. I'm just tired of that
So... all in all, if you're a young person who wants to do well on your own...
Leave now while you still can

English

@hispanicnomad I am now in Bali. Because i have 2 kids. And we have a big international community here of families. So for kids and activities is very good.
But if this is THE place i dont know. I just wanted to leave. Checked some options for family. Now i am here. I like it. But we will see
English

@willnarsingh That's cool man
Indonesia is an unusual choice. How are you liking it so far?
English

@NJHoekman Daarom ben ik uit de EU. Voor mij is EU 1 pot nat. Ik woon sinds mei in Indonesie. Vanaf hier zie ik het wel weer. Maar tot nu toe geen sec spijt

€1,64 per liter benzine. Langs de snelweg. In België.
Daarom: tussenstap Spanje.
Woning in Nederland verkopen.
En als het zo doorgaat, misschien volgend jaar wel Europa uit.
Ik kies voor een toekomst waar je nog wél vooruit kunt.
Waar je nog wél kunt bouwen.
Waar je nog wél adem kunt halen.
Mijn reis gaat verder. Letterlijk en figuurlijk.
