When it comes to lethal force, there must generally be an imminent threat of death, great bodily harm (loss of a limb/eye, stabbing, shooting, strangulation/choking, multiple attackers), or rape/sexual assault in the eyes of the law, not just the defendant. A single punch usually does not justify lethal force unless there’s a major size disparity, the victim is elderly/medically vulnerable, multiple attackers are involved, or the attacker continues after the victim is down. I don’t know what happened before the video, but prosecutors likely have multiple angles, witnesses, and evidence.
