@sablelane @castamongheroes @donniethelion @willy6618 @allyzay 32c on the $1?? That seems quite high when after all my benefits, retirement, and taxes are taken out I take home 73c on the $1. Are you able to opt for private insurance through the company you work for you have to pay that regardless?
English

@Smitchapotamus @sablelane @castamongheroes @donniethelion @allyzay U have to pay Medicare Levi is about 1000$ a year but when retired get a Heath care card which gives u discounts on land rates for your house power and gas and lots of other things
English

@jarobinme @69mgc @WhiiteGuySushi @FERNAND62209620 @donniethelion @allyzay Your correct there are a couple of steps in there but not enough space on here to go through it but the 45% kick in after 180k so less tax up till then
English

@69mgc @WhiiteGuySushi @FERNAND62209620 @willy6618 @donniethelion @allyzay Thats not the way taxes like that normally work.. if you're taxed 18% up to 180k but you make 185k youre only taxed 45% on that extra 5k, not the whole 185..
English

@donniethelion @willy6618 @allyzay Overall tax burden in Canada is generally speaking higher than it is in the US, but not extraordinarily so. Tax burden in Canada is significantly lower than tax and health insurance. By a significant margin
English

@c_tolkien @donniethelion @allyzay That’s because they are paying coprate rates as most of the hospitals are privately or corporate with big profits as a motive
English

@donniethelion @willy6618 @allyzay US govt already spends more on healthcare as a percentage of GPD than countries with free healthcare.
English

@mikescuse @donniethelion @allyzay Or corporate donations to political party’s which control policy for them they don’t want to loose there campaign funds
English

@indiecrowarts @allyzay I totally agree a measure of a country is how it looks after its citizen especially with disability’s when u get a chance google the ndis in Australia it is new
English

@willy6618 @allyzay If it wasn’t impossible to leave this country I would (I love my country but I literally can’t afford to even treat my own disability- it’s ridiculous) It’s fine if people want private healthcare- but universal should be a bare minimum
English

@kaelikate @donniethelion @allyzay Social security we don’t contribute to part of tax we pay we also have minimum wage of about 21$ an hour plus 4 weeks paid leave with 17.5% holiday loading we do have gst of 10% but food water exempt
English

@allyzay Hi I am from Australia it seams to be a right of all Americans to get exorbitant medical bills we have universal health care here called Medicare free for everybody we also have traffic accident cover free airlift to nearest major hospital free of charge and it could be 1000km
