Sa madaling sabi, hindi ka na nila kayang paikutin. Ang mga pulitiko ay hindi mga artista na dapat iniidolo. Kung binoto mo sila, mas lalong bantayan mo at maging kritikal ka sa mga ginagawa nila. Ang boto mo ay hindi isang “loyalty vote”. Ang boto mo ay isang tiwala na binigay mo sa isang lider, tiwala na pwede mong bawiin kung hindi niya nagawa ang trabaho niya. Huwag mong pairalin ang “pride” mo. Walang masama sa pag bawi ng tiwala kung lantaran ka na namang ginagago.

DELA ROSA NOW A ‘SUSPECT’ IN ICC CASE The ICC Office of the Prosecutor (OTP) has welcomed the unsealing of the arrest warrant against Sen. Ronald Dela Rosa, who is now officially considered a suspect in the ongoing crimes against humanity case at the international tribunal. “Mr. Dela Rosa’s warrant of arrest is an important step in the Office’s ongoing pursuit of accountability for alleged crimes committed in the context of the so-called ‘war on drugs’ campaign in the Philippines,” the OTP said in a statement hours after the ICC Pre-Trial Chamber I ordered the reclassification of the senator’s arrest warrant. “The Office will continue to work closely with the Registry and all relevant stakeholders to facilitate the execution of the warrant,” it added. According to the OTP, the “secret” arrest warrant was issued on Nov. 6, three days after it filed the request. It was conveyed to relevant Philippine authorities after its issuance, the ICC prosecutor’s office added. “Based on evidence presented by the OTP, the Chamber found there are reasonable grounds to believe that Mr. Dela Rosa, a former Davao City Police Director and subsequently chief of the Philippine National Police, is responsible for the crime against humanity of murder,” it said. “The Chamber found reasonable grounds to believe that Mr. Dela Rosa is responsible, jointly with other co-perpetrators, including former President Duterte, for murders in the Philippines, between at least 3 July 2016 until the end of April 2018,” it added. Like in the case of Duterte, the alleged murders were only a “sample that represent a potentially broader pattern of conduct.” The OTP may seek to add further alleged criminal incidents at a later stage.
