Let’s be real, you can tell Watts was a focal point of the gameplan. He hasn’t been good tonight, but at least he’s been aggressive (not just standing around like others). It’s on Linder and McCasland who have to make an adjustment when it’s clear Watts doesn’t have it

Just thinking back to when Houston was announced as the final AAC addition and seemingly everyone questioned whether Houston was worth it. Guess we were.

@JamesSurowiecki @RM_Transit There are a few people who seem to believe if they get wealthy enough, they can insulate from the cultural dissolution that AI developers want.

@RM_Transit Why? what difference does it make? If LLMs work insanely well and are super-reliable, everyone will end up using or being replaced by them soon, and it's not like having a year headstart in using them is going to make a material difference in the long run.

I am really concerned for the "LLMs don't work and are completely unreliable" folks

@StarGods9 @jlippincott_ If you don't have a job, how exactly will you feed your kids by 'playing, loving, and exploring'? You think AIs will just you goods and services because you're so special?

I am going to keep saying this until I am blue in the face: The only way AI can "take jobs" is if the technology is more efficient than human labor. If it is then that means lower production costs and therefore lower prices and higher savings. Those savings will get converted into new lines of production and more jobs, higher wages, and a better standard of living for everyone. The industrial revolution resulted in untold prosperity compared to what came before. IF (!!!) AI can deliver on its promises we could be in for major economic growth. That would be good!
