@nemiiiya Yes Poli sang on the demo, but she was not being considered as a final artist. They were focusing on the songs first and artists second. Yeah it’s weird I know

@windminimal It was Poli Genova's entry in the 2018 internal selection and it actually won the vote, but Bones was chosen instead.

@ArmpitOfEurope You have a good point totally However, despite how cringe kaarija may personally be, I think Finland deserved better w the jury as it was very sleek and well put together and a very unique and artistically produced song. Bangaranga is also kinda “wacky” but it came out well

@windminimal What 😭 Bulgaria was more jury friendly that yall think, it was polished, great production, with hit potential, strong impression, originality and good vocals while on a demanding choreo. If anything, Cha cha cha would have tanked harder nowdays, look at Greece-Moldova

Bangaranga winning the jury raises the critical question - can you win the jury vote now without needing a jury bait song? with this jury setup, perhaps would cha cha cha have gotten closer in the jury voting than tattoo?

We need to bring back the televote only semis again. This year showed that the juries will always just save the same countries (Czechia, Belgium). It’s not fair.

I think there’s two reasons EDM does so poorly at Eurovision: 1. Most EDM entries at esc (My System is an exception) are bad. 2. See above 3. It’s not very memorable after the fact
