What a wine this is. It smells of smokey bacon, mint leaf and metalwork filings. It tastes of dried flowers, dark berry fruits and herbs. Reminiscent of a Madrid Vermut bar. On the finish, a chalky bloodiness. I could drink this all night and not… instagr.am/p/Crtpl5PNxCF/

@davidroundmw Fogliati’s Bussia 2018 is drinking beautifully already and is not that expensive. Gian Luca Colombo’s Nebbiolo d’Alba 2019 is glorious. Livia Fontana Villero 2016 also delicious. Crissante’s Commune di la Morra is brilliant in 2019 and not expensive. Brovia more expensive but VG

I noticed recently a couple of people whose palates I respect saying that they were a bit take-it-or-leave-it regarding Barolo. I hesitate to admit it, but I'm the same. Does anyone have recommendations to change my mind? Preferably that won't require selling a major organ.
